Harris NorthStar: VOC for County of Maui

Ottawa, ON - 9 May 2008 -- The NorthStar division (Harris-NorthStar) of Harris Computer Systems is pleased to announce today that the County of Maui, HI, has chosen NorthStar CIS as its utility billing solution for its Solid Waste and Landfill Disposal divisions.Harris-NorthStar is partnered with Harris' newly acquired DataNow business unit for Maui's Landfill requirements.  Harris provides utilities, schools and municipal governments with market-leading software solutions.

The County of Maui provides Solid Waste and Landfill services on the islands of  Lana`i, Maui and Moloka`i, in the State of Hawai`i.   The Solid Waste Division collects and disposes of residential refuse in 3 major districts; Wailuku (including Kahului and South Maui), Makawao (including Kula, Pukalani, Paia and Haiku) and Lahaina (West Maui). Hana, Moloka`i and Lana`i.  The Landfill Division is responsible for disposal of residential and commercial refuse at landfills located in Hana, Central Maui, Lana`i, and Moloka`i and for the co-composting project.
