NorthStar Utilities Solutions Announces Eight Go-Lives
OTTAWA, ON-17 November 2009- NorthStar Utilities Solutions, a division of Harris Computer Systems, is pleased to announce that eight additional customers have successfully gone live on the latest version of NorthStar's CIS and Billing solution. These customers have successfully upgraded to this latest version of NorthStar CIS and enjoy a number of benefits associated with new product features and enhancements. Here are a few benefits:
- Ability to schedule tasks and create rules to reduce time and costs associated with business operations.
- Ability to utilize our embedded Reports Anywhere platform to schedule, receive and analyze critical performance information.
- Ability to secure data with encryption and field level access for FACT and Red Flag compliance.
- Greater efficiency in order processing and customer care with our new CARE Service Order module.
- Ability to customize all menu's to match workflow and business process automation.
NorthStar's Professional Services and Support Services departments have worked closely with the following customers to implement NorthStar CIS upgrades and many of NorthStar's product extensions during 2009:
City of Denton - Denton, TX
A NorthStar customer since 2000, Denton has over 51,000 and provides Electric, Water, Waste water, Solid waste and Drainage services to their customers.
Dalton Utilities - Dalton, GA
A NorthStar customer since 2000, Dalton has over 47,000 customers and provides a combination of Electric, Water, Gas Sewer services to their customers.
Decatur Utilities - Decatur, AL
A NorthStar customer since 2001, Decatur has over 32,000 customers and provides Electric, Water, Waste Water, Gas and Refuse services to their customers.
City of Rock Island - Rock Island, IL
A NorthStar customer since 2000, with over 33,000 customers, and billing for Water, Sewer, Storm water, Recycling, Water Service Repair, Sewer Lateral Repair and Refuse Carts. The City of Rock Island is also using NorthStar to bill some miscellaneous charges such as rental license fees, retiree health insurance, hazardous material fees and marina slip rental.
Rideau St. Lawrence - Prescott, ON
A NorthStar customer since 2001, Rideau St. Lawrence has 5,900 Electrical customers, and approximately 4,500 Water and Sewer customers.
City of Tracy - Tracy, CA
A NorthStar customer since 2002. City of Tracy services over 23,000 utility accounts providing Water, Sewer, Garbage services, as well as Storm Drain Maintenance fees.
City of Bartlesville - Bartlesville, OK
A NorthStar customer since 2000, Bartlesville provides 4 services for over 14,000 customers: Sewer, Trash, Water, and Bug Spray/Street Light.
City of Newark - Newark, DE
A NorthStar customer since 2002, City of Newark provides services for the following: over 11,000 electric customers, over 9000 water customers, and over 7000 sewer customers. There are also approximately 2200-2300 out-of-town customers who have water only services.
